On the sixth floor of the hotel there is a privileged place for resting and eating, the Roof Garden, with 50 seats and a panoramic view over the old part of Havana and the bay.
And there the Plaza de Armas" restaurant (capacity for 24 people), with itð€™s specialities, and down there is located the Café-bar of the hotel Ambos Mundos. As a supreme attractiveness we can find the room 511 where the American novelist Ernest Hemingway used to live in the 30"s. Today this room is a museum.
The construction of the hotel began in 1923. In 1932 Hemingway was lodged in the hotel and lived there ultil 1939 when he bought Finca VigÃa. Nowadays in this place is located the Hemingway"s museum. Â
